Client: Mirant Corporation, an independent power company

In order to adhere to a federal government statute requiring the removal of pollutants from flue gases generated by fossil fuels, Mirant installs two flue gas desulfurization (FGD) absorbers. STEVENS is a subcontractor to a nationally known General Contractor in this project.

STEVENS is responsible for the following:
Internal spray headers
External oxidation and recycle water piping
5 recycle headers
2 mist eliminators

Materials in this project are fiberglass, carbon steel and duplex stainless steel 2205. We install and field weld joints on spray nozzles. In addition, STEVENS welds and places hangers. Fabrication and erection of piping is the final step of the project.
