STEVENS delivered complete turnkey construction of a new walking beam furnace for NLMK Corporation at their Farrell, PA facility. The project scope included comprehensive site preparation with storm sewer relocations and demolition of existing facilities, followed by deep excavation and shoring installation to prepare for the substantial foundation work. STEVENS also provided engineering, supply, and installation of a 22,000 square foot pre-engineered furnace building and a 5,000 square foot pump house building. The mechanical scope included erection of the walking beam furnace, recuperator, and portions of the combustion air ductwork.
