We hold our standards to the highest level when it comes to scheduling, layout, reporting, safety, national regulations, and permitting. Accomplishing these would assure that we can fulfill the clients’ exact specifications.

We at STEVENS know that safety is the ultimate priority of any company. We also know that steel erection is one of the most dangerous and hazardous occupations in the construction industry.

STEVENS is proud to have a record of 50 years without an accident while erecting our metal structures, and we will not tarnish the name that we have built in the industry by violating safety regulations and standards.

STEVENS erects the sturdiest and best steel structures with a commitment to safety and efficiency to service a wide range of industrial purposes. Our metal erection expertise spans from raising gangways on buildings to changing crane rails and beyond.

And due to our diligence to exceed the industry standards for construction, our engineers and constructors never miss out on routine crane inspections, regular equipment checks, safety and quality control, and more.

STEVENS also provides advanced design and engineering services for engineered lifts. We complete these projects with CDMG, our wholly-owned engineering subsidiary.

Bridges, highways, and any other Sheet and H-pile projects can be done with STEVENS. We install H-Pile for deep foundation applications by having the best pile driving equipment available.

For full-service construction and efficiency, most clients would take our excavation services simultaneous with our Sheet and H-pile capabilities.

STEVENS completes geotechnical testing as-needed for soil stability and other factors to identify the structural requirements for each project. We understand how to leverage the durability of H-Pile to secure facilities located in challenging soil conditions and active seismic areas.

Our rigging services in Dayton include, but are not limited to:

  1. Verifying weights
  2. Alignment
  3. Rigging limitations
  4. Installations
  5. Clearance restrictions

Just like our steel erection, our comprehensive heavy rigging services always adhere to the highest possible standards for safety to ensure every project is completed safely, on-schedule, and according to our client's exact specifications.

STEVENS is serious about preventing hazards from rigging, and heavy lifting projects affect our workers or our customers. Our engineers and constructors take special care to mitigate potential risks before the project begins.

Results-driven planning, thorough scheduling, team collaboration, and detailed regular reporting are some of the characteristics our skilled engineers have.

In STEVENS, we believe that every successful industrial construction project begins with quality design and engineering; that is why we offer custom engineering services to ensure the outcome of every project matches our client's expectations seamlessly.

Every project requires communication between the engineers and the stakeholders; that is why we let them collaborate on project decisions to make sure that everything is agreed upon before the construction.

For pipe fabrication needs, STEVENS has its own fabrication shop that produces 10,000 LF of fabricated pipes monthly.

We can even make pipes for unique project specifications at a lower price because of the private pipe fabrication facility that we own.

We utilize state-of-the-art welding and cutting equipment and a variety of mandrel benders to produce the highest quality pipe on the market at a quicker rate while maintaining minimal rejected welds, resulting in a lack of delayed deliveries and faulty projects.

We also offer hydrostatic testing, protective coating solutions, chemical cleaning and flushing, documentation, and other pipe-related services.

We use the latest pipe fabrication technology, tooling, cutting, welding, and mandrel benders to efficiently turn out fabricated pipe according to quality control and local and national standards.

Not only do we make our own pipes, but we also install them. Whether it is ¾” to 20” of pipes, carbon steel to stainless, and in-schedule XXS to standard, our professionals can handle those.

Proposed installations are planned before the first day of construction to ensure that everything is put in the correct place, and nothing will be placed in different positions later on.

We complete all of our pipe installation services according to the highest standards for efficiency, cost-savings, and safety.

STEVENS is committed to assisting industrial businesses in Dayton to increase productivity; the way to do that is to simplify maintenance procedures and reduce energy consumption one machine at a time.

And because we are dedicated to efficiency, we use equipment such as precision laser alignment devices as a part of our arsenal of world-class equipment.

There are other machines our experienced field engineers operate, such as a robotic total station, to have full optimization of a machine’s full potential.

Our team works to the one-thousandth of an inch to mitigate damage to bearings and seals.

To help your plant's machines last-longer and produce more, our team of professionals completes thorough setting and alignment services while working quickly to reduce downtime.

One of STEVENS’ trademarks is providing pre-engineered metal building kits that can be used in almost any industry. The steel buildings STEVENS has in Dayton are known for their versatility, unlimited customization options, and aesthetically-pleasing design.

STEVENS has been sourcing our steels from one of the most trusted steel manufacturers in the country, Nucor, so we assure you that all we use in erecting our buildings are highly durable American-made steel.

And because of our long-term partnership with Nucor, we make sure that the steel we use is not only durable, but they are also environmentally-friendly. STEVENS uses 90% recycled steel from Nucor.

Pre-engineered buildings are an ideal solution for future expansions for companies in Dayton as they can be customized easily for energy-efficiency because of their versatility.

WILLIAMS UNION BOILER
Dresden, Ohio
We worked with Dresden Energy to install H-Piling foundation support for their advanced combined cycle power plant. The Dresden Energy Facility is wholly owned and operated by Dominion Energy.

In addition to H-Piling services, we also completed the final excavation for each of the major foundation footprints.

We contracted with Williams Service Group to excavate 19,000 cy and installed H-Pile in the amount of 1712 pile, 85,300 LF total, and 200 splices.

Our team performed excavation work throughout fall and winter despite inclement weather conditions, allowing us to work on the foundations in early spring and erect the equipment over the summer.

With the use of 3 pile driving rights and a six-day work week, we stayed within our tight 7-week schedule.

After our impressive performance and safety record, we were awarded the foundation contract for the Dresden Energy Facility foundations.

KINDER MORGAN: SCIO METER STATION

Scio, Ohio

Utilizing the latest drone technology and best practices for on-site engineering, we moved 60,000 cy of dirt in the most efficient manner possible to complete our project for the Scio Meter Station.

While adhering to all local, state and federal permits and environmental regulations, we met and exceeded all project specifications.

We installed and maintained proper erosion and sediment control during and after construction while utilizing CAT 740 articulating dumps, CAT excavators, CAT rollers and CAT backhoes to complete the project.

To ensure the site was safe for heavy equipment to cross existing pipelines on-site, we installed engineered air bridges. These bridges ensured a continual flow of traffic for highly efficient excavation and backfill.

Owing to the skill levels of our constructors and our client's cooperation, we transported the excavation spoils of pad one over to pad two for immediate backfill.
